For a long time we have devoted ourselves to training to get beautiful and well-shaped bodies, but the pursuit of the perfect body has rather increased the distance between body and soul. Therefore, yoga has had such an impact in the Western world in recent years. Yoga is a powerful tool that can affect women's well-being at various stages of life: relieve mood swings during adolescence and at PMS, reduce problems during pregnancy and after delivery, and during menopause.
Yoga for women, who now comes in a handy new format, begins with a brief introduction which, among other things, presents the eight steps that are the foundation of yoga. Then there are some breathing exercises that you use when practicing yoga, and that helps to increase the practitioner's peace and concentration. The main part of the book contains about fifty exercises that are mainly based on hathayogan, but which are also influenced by ashtangiyogan. The movements and postures provide strength, agility and relaxation. They are divided by the different needs the woman has during her life, with the emphasis on the woman in the middle of life. Of course, they can combine together into a personal program. Most require no prior knowledge, but after a few times the practitioner reaches deeper into each movement.
All positions in the book are shown by teachers who teach yoga daily.
