Description: Organic flour made of chickpeas. The flour is used in several dishes, both indian and others. Chickpea flour is also very nutritious as it is rich in proteins, iron and vitamins that our bodies need.
You can also make a mild and effective facial mask or scrub by mixing chickpea flour with rose water or milk (we use this in our own Ayurvedic spa).
General Dal Recipe: Wash the rice 1-2 times with lukewarm water. Soak it, thereafter, in cold water for about 10 minutes - 2.5 parts water for 1 part rice. Heat a thin layer of oil in a pot and add any spices or onion that you might like. Fry them up a short while and then add your rice and water, also add salt to taste. Stir and then bring it to a boil with a lid on. Half the temperature once its boiling and leave it half covered with a lid. As the water gets absorbed almost fully, turn the heat off and leave the pot on the warm stove and cover it with the lid again. Put a thin cloth under the lid for a good steaming effect inside.
Recommended spices:
Cumin - tastes very good with basmati rice.
Vata, Pitta eller Kapha Balance Churna - choose one according to your body type.
Rock salt - instead of regular salt. Its more flavour filled and is also healthier.
