Description
It looks a bit unusual, massage with stamps made of cloth bags. But the cloth bags filled with herbs and spices have it all in the truest sense of the word: Pinda Sweda is a universal, highly versatile massage remedy of often impressive intensity. The sachets are filled to the brim with herbal mixtures, roasted seed powders or processed roots that have proven themselves in various applications over the centuries. Depending on the type of application, the resulting "Pinda" (pouch) is heated in herbal oils, juices or ghee to incorporate the concentrated active ingredients directly into the affected structures or the whole body during the herbal pouch massage.
The combination of herbs and heat creates optimal conditions to affect tense or blocked structures.* These include muscles, joints, weakened, contaminated connective tissue, tired muscles and over-stimulated nerves.* When used, you get deep relaxation, feelings of stress are reduced and body and mind recharge your batteries and energy.*
*According to Ayurvedic tradition, not scientifically proven.
Use :
For best effect, massage the chosen body area with a little oil first. Heat a base oil, preferably mature organic sesame oil, to a proper but tolerable heat in a bowl. Dip the herbal stamp in the oil and massage the chosen area of the body with the herbal stamp. Repeat several times and repeat again with the same herbal stamp for 3-4 days. After that, the herbal stamp can be considered used up and discarded.
